Shabbat Hagadol Drasha 5779 presented by Dr. Shai Secunda

6:30 PM - 8:00 PM“A Tale of Two Seders: Creativity vs. Convention from the Mishnah to Modernity" presented by Dr. Shai Secunda
The Pesach Seder is one of Judaism's strongest traditions, connecting past to present, and previous generations with the way we live now. Yet, the Seder also demands that we make it new; it suffers neither complacency nor conventionality.
Fortunately, we have the rabbis’ Mishnah and Larry David’s Curb to help us navigate the tension between creativity and convention. We’ll study and discuss both, with the aim of preparing for a Seder that is both authentic and exciting.
