As we reach the close of our festival season—with Simchat Torah marking the joyful completion and renewal of our Torah cycle—we pray that today also brings the completion of a painful chapter in our national story. We celebrate the release of our hostages and what we hope is the end of the war in Gaza, rejoicing not only in our sacred texts but in the sanctity of life, our spirit of freedom, and love of peace. Simultaneously, we mourn our dead and pray for healing. May the joy of Torah blend with the joy of reunion, the joy of the harvest blend with our continued security, and may this season’s conclusion be the beginning of healing and renewal for Am Yisrael and for all who dwell in the Land. Chag Sameach.
Here's a brief summary and then a chart!
Shemini Atzeret services begins tonight (Monday) at 6:00 PM and resume on Tuesday at 9:00 AM. Will recite Yizkor on Tuesday at 10:45 AM. There will be no kiddush following services.
Simchat Torah festivities begin Tuesday afternoon with Mincha and Pre-Hakaffot Snacks at 5:30 PM and then Maariv and Hakafot beginning at 7:00 PM.
We remind you that all of our Simchat Torah celebrations tend to skew early (leaving plenty of time for side-plans, meals, and sleep).
Simchat Torah Morning services begin at 8:30 AM, with Coffee Kiddush - sponsored by the Yudewitz Family - at 9:30 AM, Hakafot at 10:00 AM and Aliyot (for men and women) at 10:30 AM. Please be sure to bring your children to the Kids' Hakafa - sponsored by Alan Bubbles Schwartz - at approximately 11:00 AM.
Immediately following Simchat Torah services there will be a delicious Kiddush. We have a few co-sponsors but we are in need of some more so please let us know!)
Chag Sameach.
