Yom Kippur 5779 on Sixth Street was beautiful and well-attended.
We are especially grateful to:
- Our Chazzanim: Modi Rosenfeld, Elie Yudewitz, Rabbi Gavriel Bellino, Neil Kitainik, and Alan Feder, as well as Sandra Bernhard for her reading;
- Our Torah Readers: Jonathan Falik, Shimmy Rapps, and Josh Lebewohl;
- Our Gabbaim: Choni Bellino,Shimmy Rapps, and Elie Yudewitz;
- Our Speakers: Rabbi Andrew Scheer, Dr. Shai Secunda, and Rabbi Gavriel Bellino;
- Cori Robinson and Joan Nachmani for providing the beautiful flowers;
- Avi Sosa, Dana Friedman, and Choni Bellino for helping us to prepare our sanctuary;
- Neil Kitainik & Grace Auerbach for their administrative assistance;
- Our building manager, Vincenzo Aiosa, and his team for the essential and aesthetic improvements they continue to make for us and for providing much needed support;
- Matthew Levine and Sarah Eisen for providing the post-Neila beer;
- The Sam and Arezoo Jesselson for sponsoring the Break Fast in celebration of the birthday of their son Adir;
- Rabbi Gavriel Bellino for his leadership and vision;
- The approximately 500 of you who chose to spend Yom Kippur with us!
May the great significance of Yom Kippur, the astounding beauty with which it was observed in our synagogue, and the obviously vital role our synagogue plays in lower Manhattan inspire your continued generosity.
