With the High Holy Days just about a month away, it is time to begin our preparations for our predictably beautiful and safe services. Unfortunately, the current and expected impact of COVID and its variants remains less predictable, and so we are carefully monitoring this constantly-changing path and frequently consulting with our medical advisors. As of now we plan on convening High Holy Day services, but with some important adjustments.

• Attendance will be limited to the fully-vaccinated. (This requirement excludes children under 12 who are welcome, but must sit with their parents in the sanctuary or distance play - while masked - in the social hall.)
• Masks must be worn by all in attendance.
• Less essential parts of the service will be skipped.

We may have to limit the number of people that we can accommodate and depending on demand may have to offer multiple services, as we did last year. Please help us get a better sense of your intentions, so that we may plan appropriately.

For now, we simply ask you - our members and friends: Do you plan on attending our Rosh HaShana and/or Yom Kippur services? How many will be in your party? Do you feel that you can commit to our community practices and expectations? Would you appreciate outdoor Shofar services? Please communicate your High Holy Day intentions (both affirmative and negative) - and any questions or concerns. Sooner, rather than later.

Our thoughts and tefillot are with Medinat Yisrael. We mourn with the families who have lost loved ones, and we pray for those who have been injured or traumatized by the devastating violence, attacks and terror. We pray that the violence cease and for a return to a more peaceful coexistence.

This Shabbat we will again convene in our beloved sanctuary BOTH on Friday night and Saturday morning. We feel that is appropriate in light of the improving conditions, increased vaccination rates, and other metrics that we follow. The Six Feet Synagogue service will run a bit quicker than usual, with reduced singing, and Anti-Social Kiddush Club  (Kiddush-To-Go). We ask that you come on time, so that we may conclude early. In addition, the sanctuary may be quite cold as we plan to have windows and doors open to increase ventilation in the building. News

Our thoughts and tefillot are with Medinat Yisrael. We mourn with the families who have lost loved ones, and we pray for those who have been injured or traumatized by the devastating violence, attacks and terror. We pray that the violence cease and for a return to a more peaceful coexistence.
