Join us - in partnership with the Stanton Street Shul - for a celebration of As the Story Goes: Funny, Strange, and Serious Stories of Yiddishland’s Jews compiled by Mordekhai Lipson, newly translated and edited by Jonathan Boyarin and Jonah Sampson Boyarin. The evening will feature the father-and-son translators in conversation about the art of preserving Yiddish humor, memory, and voice for a new generation. Together, they’ll explore how these vivid tales capture the spirit of a vanished world and the lives that continue to echo from it. A wine and cheese reception will follow.
