Shemini Atzeret / Simchat Torah

10/12/2025 05:39:23 PM

Oct12

Here's a brief summary and then a chart!

Hoshana Rabba Shacharit is tomorrow (Monday) at 8:00 AM. It's potentially very long and tedious, but Rabbi Bellino keeps it efficient and manageable. There are several bundles of willow waiting to be beaten. Get here. Gut Kvittel.

Shemini Atzeret services begin tomorrow (Monday) night at 6:00 PM and resume on Tuesday at 9:00 AM.  Will recite Yizkor on Tuesday at 10:45 AM. There will be no kiddush following services.

Simchat Torah festivities begin Thursday afternoon with Mincha and Pre-Hakaffot Snacks at 5:30 PM and then Maariv and Hakafot beginning at 7:00 PM.

We remind you that all of our Simchat Torah celebrations tend to skew early (leaving plenty of time for side-plans, meals, and sleep).

Simchat Torah Morning services begin at 8:30 AM, with Coffee Kiddush at 9:30 AM, Hakafot at 10:00 AM and Aliyot (for men and women) at 10:30 AM. Please be sure to bring your children to the Kids' Hakafa - sponsored by Alan Bubbles Schwartz - at approximately 11:00 AM.

Immediately following Simchat Torah services there will be a delicious Kiddush. (We are in need of sponsors so please let us know!)

Chag Sameach.
