Events & News From The Community

We wish a Mazal Tov to Adina Haims Frank and Henry Frank upon the birth of a baby girl.

Foundations and Thoughts of Maimonides classes resumed this week, and continue next Wednesday, January 14.

Our second visiting scholar Shabbaton is January 30-31 with Rabbi Saul Berman. We're having a Friday night dinner in the Social Hall, and Rabbi Berman will speak after dinner, on Shabbat morning, and during Seudah Shelishit. RSVP for the dinner by January 26!

Get your cookers burning, because CholentFest is less than one month away -- on February 7! Further information will be sent out next week.

The second installment of the Monday Night Lecture Series will be February 9 with Dr. Michelle Friedman presenting "Why be Jewish in 2015? Understanding Contemporary Religious Choices." Pizza and beer will be served. Stay tuned for event RSVP details.

The Ritual Committee is committed to a positive, efficient and meaningful tefilah experience for everyone who comes to our synagogue. Regrettably, the committee currently consists entirely of men, and we are most likely unaware of ways to better that experience on "the other side" of the mechitzah. We're asking for a woman to join the Ritual Committee to help better ensure that everyone on both sides of the mechitzah has a meaningful experience each and every shabbat. Please see Elie Yudewitz if you are interested.
