Please join us for a light dairy Shavuot dinner, followed by Torah study with Rabbi Joe Wolfson. Immediately following Maariv, dinner will begin at 9:00 PM. Rabbi Wolfson will present: "Why Rut? A Quiet But Revolutionary Megillah."
Rabbi Joe Wolfson is a modern-orthodox rabbi and Jewish educator, originally from the UK, who has spent most of the last decade living in Israel. In August 2015 he relocated to New York where where he works at New York University as the Director of the Jewish Learning Initiative on Campus (OU) and as the rabbi of the Orthodox community there. He received Semikha (rabbinic ordination) from Rav Zalman Nehemia Goldberg in 2013 and completed the Semikha of the Israeli Chief Rabbinate in the summer of 2015 after wonderful years spent studying at Yeshivat Har Etzion and in the Interdisciplinary Bet Midrash of Bet Morasha.
