Congratulations to all of you who TODAY have completed the Book of II Samuel as part of our Tanakh Yomi program.
We will begin the Book of I Kings on FRIDAY (12/5).
Even if you skipped II Samuel (basically, the dramatic saga in which King David rises to power, conquers enemies, dances wildly, commits royal adultery, sparks family chaos, survives a coup by his own son, and ends the book both victorious and exhausted by the sheer amount of soap-opera energy he personally introduced into ancient Israel), please consider learning I Kings with us. To enhance your study and/or keep things straight, I have prepared the following resources that can also be found on our Tanakh Yomi page.
Book of I Kings: Brief Outline - Detailed Outline - Key Figures - Key Places
BTW, our schedule has us starting II Kings on 12/16, so stay strong!
Blessings, GZB
