Purim Schedule & Mishloach Manot!

02/24/2015 07:08:56 AM

Join us for Purim!

Purim is right around the corner! Here's an outline of our programs and events, beginning this Sunday:

Mishloach Manot: Please participate in our Mishloach Manot fundraiser. Its purpose is to augment a continued sense of community, deliciously enhance Purim revelry, and serve as a significant fundraising opportunity for our synagogue. We have collaborated with a chocolatier in Brooklyn this year, and packages are available in three sizes according to sponsorship level: $180, $118, and $54. To participate, email with your level of sponsorship by Friday, February 27.

Kids Purim Party: Sunday, March 1 from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM. Arts and crafts activities including making masks and balloon animals, as well as refreshments will be available. This party is open to everyone in the community at large -- no membership required.

Purim Party: On Purim night (March 4), we will read the Megillah at 6:30 PM, to be immediately followed by our Purim Party. This year's theme is "That '70s Shul."

Be sure to dress up in your grooviest '70s threads or as the raddest '70s icon. Disco Fever... Dynomite! At 10:00 PM we will welcome the University of Purim, who will be hosting an additional party.

Purim Day and Seudah: On Purim Day (March 5), we will offer two morning Megillah readings in the morning and a Purim Seudah in the afternoon. Click here to RSVP to the Seudah.

Sixth Street Community Synagogue

We like to think we're different. Everyone from the traditionally Orthodox to the occasionally observant feels at home here - 365 days a year. We hope you do too.
