"Trembling Before G-d"

"Trembling Before G-d" is an unprecedented feature documentary that is built around intimately told personal stories of gay and lesbian Hasidic and Orthodox Jews who face a profound dilemma: how to reconcile their passionate love of Judaism and the Divine with the drastic biblical prohibitions that forbid homosexuality. Q&A with Shlomo Ashkinazy, who is featured in the film. This event has been co-sponsored by ESHEL, an organization which aims to create community for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender Jews and their families in Orthodox communities.
