In these tragic and scary times we stand with Israel, Southern California, and all those victimized by senseless hatred and fanaticism. We pray for safety, healing, and peace. Please join us at all of our services for our recitations of additional Psalms.
We wish a Mazal Tov to Ashira Lubkin & Alan Feder on the birth of a boy.
We wish a Mazal Tov to Michelle Zigelman on her engagement to Arieh Rosenbaum.
Our second Shabbat Scholar Shabbaton of 5776 is this Shabbat with Rav Yehuda Gilad of Yeshivat Ma'ale Gilboa. Please join us at 4:15 PM for Mincha and Kabbalat Shabbat/Maariv prior to the dinner (for those who RSVPd to dinner). View the rest of the schedule, including Rav Gilad's speeches Friday night, Shabbat morning, and during Seudah Shelishit on the website. These Shabbatonim are sponsored by a generous bequest made by Garry Roemer.
Last Tuesday was the 9th Yahretzeit of our friend Judy Berman.
Kiddushes on Sixth Street - always plentiful and delicious - greatly enhance our synagogue and community. The next available Kiddush for sponsorship is January 9th, Parashat Vaera. To sponsor or co-sponsor a Friday night Kiddush, a Shabbat Kiddush, a Shabbocktail, or a Seudah Shelishit, contact Rabbi Bellino.
