Community News

We stand with Israel at this difficult time and pray for safety, healing, and peace. Please join us for our recitation of additional Psalms at all of our services.

Autumn is here, the clocks have been changed, and now Friday night davening is super early. Please help us make our minyan on time! Expect snacks, drinks, and some Torah study and song as your reward. This week we look forward to a short dvar Torah from Tali Zilberman Neuhaus.

Kiddush. They are delicious and they enhance our community. The next two weeks are available for kiddush sponsorship. To plan a kiddush, a Shabbocktail, or a Seudah Shelishit, contact Rabbi Bellino.

Events

We look forward to the evening of November 19th, when we will host a round-table get-together featuring music by MUTTY & Friends! and words from Rav Judah Mischel.

The suggested donation is $18 and all proceeds will go to benefit Camp HASC. Keg and Kugel will be served! For more information or click here.

MONDAY NIGHT LECTURE SERIES: Our first interactive talk of 5776 is Monday, November 15 with Dr. Elissa Sampson, titled "A History of the Sixth Street Synagogue." Come learn more about the shul from an esteemed Lower East Side urban geographer. Pizza and beer will be served! Find more details and RSVP by November 12 here.

The next Shabbat Scholar Shabbaton is December 4-5 and will feature Rav Yehuda Gilad, Rosh Yeshiva of Yeshivat Ma'ale Gilboa, rabbi of Kibbutz Lavi, and former politician. To RSVP for dinner, click here. These Shabbatonim are sponsored by a generous bequest made by Garry Roemer.

Our second Kiddush on a Tuesday has been moved back a couple months. Don't fret, it will still happen! Get ready for delectable herring, scotch, and seltzer. And most likely a lot of herring stories. Check out photos from last year here.
