We join in mourning the untimely passing of Beth & Morris Faitelewicz and Yehuda Bayme. Beth & Morris were beloved members of the Lower East Side community, and important advocates for the downtown Jewish community. Yehuda was from Riverdale, was a friend to several of us, and would occasionally visit Sixth Street. May their memories be a blessing and may their families experience healing and consolation.

This Rosh Hashana we will be joined by Rabbis Yehuda Sarna and Joe Wolfson as well as several students from the NYU community. Rabbi Sarna will lead Shacharit and speak on the second day of Yom Tov. Rabbi Wolfson will teach between Mincha and Maariv both days.
PARTY!!! Rosh Hashana is a long day - and lacking in kiddush. There are also many new people to meet. Why not come back later in the day - 5:30 PM to be exact - for some honey cake and a cocktail? On Sunday, September 20 (the Sunday before Yom Kippur), our Downtown Community will converge on Sixth Street for Morning Study: Communal Preparation for Yom Kippur, featuring Dr. Moshe Halbertal, Dr. Michelle Sarna, and Rabbi Aviad Bodner.
