Why cook for Shabbat dinner when you can join us THIS Friday night, March 23rd, for a catered, delicious, and social Shabbat HaGadol Community Dinner?
Reservations for the dinner should be made by today, March 21st.

Following dinner, we will hear from our Shabbat Scholar-in-Residence, Dena Weiss, Rosh Beit Midrash and Director of Fellowship Programs at Mechon Hadar, a unique and innovative Yeshiva that empowers Jews to create and sustain vibrant, practicing, egalitarian communities of Torah, Avodah, and Hesed.
Please join us as well throughout Shabbat for a thought-provoking series of talks and discussions on the Exodus, the Priesthood and other themes (see schedule below).
This Shabbaton includes:
- Mincha/Kabbalat Shabbat at 6:55 PM
- Friday night dinner in shul at 8:00 PM (RSVP and payment required)
- Lecture at 9:30 PM (free – all are welcome)
- Shabbat morning sermon at 10:30 AM
- Q & A discussion at Seudah Shelishit at 6:30 PM

Q & A with Dena Weiss
Dena Weiss
Dena Weiss is Rosh Beit Midrash and Director of Fellowship Programs at Mechon Hadar, where she teaches Talmud, Midrash and Hasidut. Dena earned a BA in Religious Studies from New York University and an MA in Theology from Harvard Divinity School. She has studied and taught in a variety of Jewish educational settings including Drisha, Midreshet Lindenbaum, and Pardes. She currently serves as the editor-in-chief of the Mima'amakim journal of Jewish religious art.
