Dear friends,
As we begin a new cycle of Torah reading and study, I ask that you consider joining our synagogue in Tanakh Yomi, our (near) daily study of Bible that facilitates its completion in one year. You may find the 5782 schedule here.
Several years ago, after I noticed a significant gap in my own Jewish education, I devised this Tanakh Yomi program. Here's how it works:
- Follow/read the Torah reading every Shabbat.
- Read approximately 3 chapters of Prophets/Writings Sunday thru Friday.
- Follow the Megillot on the days we read them.
To keep everyone on the same page, I have generated a schedule. It includes the daily readings as well as several days after each book for rest and "catch-up."
The Tanakh Yomi cycle begins tomorrow.
Please plan for your completion of Tanakh on Shabbat Nitzavim, September 24th, 2022.
Blessings, GZB
