Dear friends,
As we begin a new cycle of Torah reading and study, I ask that you consider joining our synagogue in Tanakh Yomi, our (near) daily study of Bible that facilitates its completion in one year.
Several years ago, after I noticed a significant gap in my own Jewish education, I devised this Tanakh Yomi program. Here's how it works:
- Follow the Torah reading every Shabbat.
- Read approximately 3 chapters of Prophets/Writings Sunday thru Friday.
- Follow the Megillot on the days we read them.
To keep everyone on the same page, I have generated a schedule. It includes the daily readings as well as several days after each book for rest and "catch-up."
The Tanakh Yomi cycle begins tomorrow.
Please plan for your completion of Tanakh on Shabbat Nitzavim, September 4th, 2021.
Blessings, GZB
