We are on Summer Schedule! That means that Friday Night Services are held at 7:00 PM. PS, it will be this way until September 16th!

 

Tisha B'Av begins THIS Saturday night, August 6th. We will not be holding afternoon classes, services or Seudah Shelishit this week.

 

Friday Night Kiddush has been sponsored by Phoebe & Richard McBee in honor of Isadora Hertzberg, their granddaughter, having taken her first steps.

Friday night Kiddush will also feature some Shalom Zachar content in celebration of the boy recently born to Ariel Matityahu & Nathan Lerman.

 

Shabbat Morning Kiddush has been sponsored by Dina Schorr & Shira Bergstein in celebration of the birth, brit, and naming of their son Yosef Yonatan, aka JJ, as well as in observance of the yahrzeit of Shira’s father, Yosef Yaakov Ben Zalman Zvi haCohen, and in observance of the yahrzeit of Dina’s paternal grandfather, Moshe Ben Avraham haLevi.

 

Following Kiddush, the Lerman/Matityahu Brit Milah will take place in the sanctuary.

Classes

 

Our weekday classes are being held on Zoom. For those of you who do not know, Zoom is a remote conferencing service that facilitates meetings online, by video and by phone. A useful instructional video may be found here. We strongly encourage you to download the free app to your phones and/or computers and then click the meeting links that we provide. If you do not have the technology to participate over the Internet, you may simply dial in. We will provide the links and numbers in a separate email as well as PDFs of any relevant class material. MASEKHET AVOT: An academic approach the work serves as an introduction to Rabbinic Judaism. Shabbat Afternoons, One hour before Mincha.

 

FOUNDATIONS OF JUDAISM: A sensitive and sophisticated introduction to Judaism, intended for beginners, focusing on many of the ritual, legal, linguistic, and philosophical basics of our faith. Wednesdays, 6:00-8:00 PM.
