Join us for a lecture and slide show as Joel Silverstein presents the way Jewish artists use the comics medium as a way to express their own Jewish identity and cultural experience. He will also examine the complex relationship of art, identity and culture within the Jewish community at large. He will touch on traditional genres such as superheroes, political satire, romance, horror, science fiction and confessionals through a Jewish lens. |
