Community News

Pesach is next week. Power of Attorney forms for the sale of Chametz may be found hereAlthough there is a widespread custom to pay the rabbi who facilitates the sale ofchametz, Rabbi Bellino urges that you not do so. Instead, please feel free (but not obligated) to contribute to his Discretionary Fund. The most convenient way to do so is online. Be sure to specify that this is a Pesach donation to the Discretionary Fund.

We are proud to be a member synagogue of The Downtown Va'ad, an Orthodox rabbinic network, founded by Rabbis Sarna & Bellino, intended to advance the welfare and flourishing of the Downtown Jewish community. This tragedy occurred March 25, 1911 at 29 Washington Place and Greene Street, one block from Washington Square Park. The 123 women and 23 men were almost all recent Jewish and Italian immigrants. As a result of this tragedy there was immediate reform of the NYS labor, child labor and fire safety laws. We appreciate your participation in attendance and contribution.
